Novel Nanoparticle Biomaterial of Alginate/Chitosan Loading Simultaneously Lovastatin and Ginsenoside RB1: Characteristics, Morphology, and Drug Release Study

Recently, plenty of interesting studies on improvement bioavailability for poorly soluble drugs were implemented with different approaches such as using combined biopolymers a delivery system that allowed to enhancing drug solubility and bioavailability. In this work, alginate chitosan blended together in the form polymeric particles, loaded both lovastatin ginsenoside Rb1 producing four-component nanoparticles by ionic gelation method. CaCl2 sodium tripolyphosphate used agent cross-linking agent, respectively. The characteristics obtained studied means infrared spectra (IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential calorimetry (DSC), dynamic light scattering (DLS). combination, interacted each other improve release ability polymer particles. change initial content has negligible effect functional groups structure but significant impact process from selective simulated body fluids. addition, synergistic interaction could be also observed through modification relative crystal degree efficiency.
